    Shame on Japan

Japan's allies urge government to sign Hague convention on child abduction

DSC01595.JPG Please Help!

My ex wife, Naoko Numakami Berg, has abducted my kids and taken them to Japan. Unfortunately Japan has not signed the Hague Convention so I cannot get them back even though the Virginia Courts have awarded full custody to me.  I miss my kids Gunnar and Kianna very much.  I have not seen them since August 6th, 2009 and I have not heard their voices since August 23rd, 2009.  I have called their Japanese grandparents in Chigasaki JP, but they will not answer the phone.  I do not know where my kids live nor do I know if they are even alive.  Please contact me at dbergsan@gmail.com if you know anything about these kids.  I miss them very much and I look forward to the day when I can see or hear from them again.

To My Kids

Gunnar and Kianna I am so sorry your mother has done this. No child should have to be separated from their parents. We both love you very much.  I hope that you find this website so you know that I love you very much and I miss you more than you know.  I look forward to the day when we can get together again and have fun.  I miss having you around so much and I hope we can be reunited soon.  Until then, I pray for your safety and that your mother will make the right decision.

HR 3240

To ensure compliance with the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction by countries with which the United States enjoys reciprocal obligations, to establish procedures for the prompt return of children abducted to other countries, and for other purposes.”

The bill is a simple read.  In short it will expose Japan and other countries for not helping with international abductions.

Hague Convention

Japan has refused to recognize other country’s laws and decisions around child custody.  This is a disgrace and the new PM should do something about it so kids can be rightfully returned to their custodial parent.

Stop Japanese Adductions

The Children’s Rights Council (CRC) is a great source to stay on top of this problem.  Please visit their sire for more information.
